Currently residing in northern Tasmania, Australia, I was interested in light and composition from an early age but only got seriously hooked on photography in more recent years.
With a love of the natural world also from an early age, and a general interest in anything visual that takes my eye, I strive for the best images I can get both to please myself and in an attempt to catch the interest of other people as well.
In general, I hope that nature and landscape photography help to inspire a greater awareness of, and care for the natural environment by showcasing some of its many treasures.
I hope you find something on the site that interests you, thanks for visiting.
I currently use a Nikon D300 digital camera, Nikkor 16-85mm, 50mm, 105mm and 80-400mm lenses and a Sigma 10-20mm lens.
Other equipment includes a Manfrotto tripod with pistol grip head and a carbon fibre Feisol tripod with manfrotto ball head for bushwalking. I use Sing-ray graduated neutral density filters and a B&W circular polarising filter.
I shoot in "Raw" format and process my images using Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS4.
NOTE: All images on the site are available for sale as un-framed professional laboratory quality prints or high resolution download by clicking on the "buy" button or contacting me directly via the contact page.
